Physical Therapy Treatment of Back Pain & Neck Pain

Physical Therapy for Back & Neck Pain

Physical therapy can be a stand-alone treatment for neck or back pain. It can also be complimentary to a surgery, oral medications, or injections.

Many people find relief from back pain with physical therapy while decreasing their medications and improving their function.

In addition to hands-on treatment, our physical therapists also provide education concerning proper lifting techniques, ergonomics, and prevention strategies. Our goal is to get you back to doing what you love to do, pain free.

Disc Injuries

  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Herniated discs
  • Bulging discs
Physical therapists are trained at providing treatment and education for these disc injuries.

Physical therapists can help alleviate the symptoms of disc injuries by correcting posture, improving core strength, improving spinal joint mobility, and improving muscle flexibility.

Spinal Stenosis

Impingement of the spinal cord or spinal nerves can be a serious condition. Physical therapists can help alleviate the impingement by improving spinal joint mobility, correcting posture, and addressing muscle flexibility. Core strengthening will also be addressed.

Muscle Strains

Whether you are a weekend warrior, a serious athlete, or an active grandparent; muscle injuries can be limiting and painful. Physical therapists can effectively and efficiently promote healing.

Spine Surgery Rehabilitation

Our physical therapists offer rehabilitation for surgeries of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. This could include surgical procedures for the spine including discectomies, laminectomies, scoliosis corrective surgery, and even spinal fusion surgeries.

Conservative treatments, such as physical therapy, before surgery should be discussed with your physician.

We will communicate with your doctor concerning your post-surgical instructions, treatment plan, prescription, and precautions.
