Vestibular dysfunction is a common condition of the inner ear (vestibular organ) that results in dizziness and unsteadiness. It is primarily a problem of middle aged to aging adults and is diagnosed by a primary care physician or an ENT specialist.

Many people are unaware that physical therapists are effective at treating vestibular dysfunction. If you have  dizziness, unsteadiness, vertigo, or inner ear problems, physical therapy treatment may provide favorable results and prevent falls and instability.
